The Labour Market Group: Annual Consultation

Contracted to perform the duties of a Local Labour Board for Renfrew and Lanark counties, The Labour Market Group holds annual community consultations to get feedback regarding workforce issues. This information is used to help us publish our TOP Report which is available for community stakeholders and various levels of the government. It is also used to develop a strategic plan of action geared toward strengthening our workforce.

As a result of the current economic downturn, this year we are focusing more on employers from retail and service sectors to determine what workforce challenges employers may be experiencing. Instead of having our usual large consultations, we are conducting brief one-on-one telephone consultations with business owners and HR officers in retail and service.

We are very interested to learn what workforce-related issues your business has been experiencing. The call only takes 2-5 minutes, but the information we are gathering is vital. If you have not already received a consult call, please contact us at 613-735-4292.
