Small Business Internship Program - Sole Proprietorships now eligible!

Funding is currently available through Industry Canada to help small and medium sized enterprises hire student interns for Information and Communications Technology projects!
 
Businesses will benefit from hiring knowledgeable students to implement and adapt e-commerce and/or information and communications technology strategies to increase their productivity, improve their competitiveness, generate higher revenues, and more!
 
Eligible SMEs will be reimbursed for 75% of the student intern’s wages & MERCs, for up to a maximum of 420 hours worked.
 
Students will benefit from full time, hands-on work experience, mentorship and coaching from successful business owners/managers!
 
Eligibility Criteria
 
Businesses must:
Be an SME with less than 500 employees
Wish to enhance your e-commerce/ICT capabilities
 
Student interns must:
Be under the age of 30
Be enrolled in (or recently graduated from) a post-secondary program AND intending to return to school
Be pursuing studies in a field related to ICT
Be legally entitled to work in Canada
