The following projects addressed the trends and issues that were identified during the 2007 and 2008 TOP Consultation process.

Employer Succession Symposium
“More than one third of independent business owners plan to exit their business within the next 5 years”

During the Employer Succession Symposium, business leaders gained information on selling a small or medium business, planning leadership transitions and preparing a successor.

Employer Essential Skills Luncheons
These luncheons gave business leader and human resources personnel an opportunity to learn more about the services offered by local essential skills and training organisations, including funding opportunities and job-specific upgrading for employees.

Working Towards the Future Youth Event
The Working Towards the Future youth event brought together students, employers and employment support agencies in exciting workshops that covered financial health, soft skills, entrepreneurship and local employment opportunities.
